The advertising behind Everreach: Project Eden does a great job of saying the lead writer worked on Mass Effect.  Except it fails to actually say that the story is player driven like Mass Effect.  It may seem ironic, or even rather disingenuous, but entirely expected from corporate doublespeak pencil pushers, for the story in Everreach: Project Eden to not have anything to do with player choice.

Steam, says the publisher is having a 40% Sale this weekend, for Everreach: Project Eden.  However, it will need to be much more than a 40% Sale to interest this fan of Mass Effect I & II{1, 2}, for an unknown single release from an untested developer.  Maybe when they cut it to 75% in a few years {hopefully it is that successful}, or it's given to me as a gift by someone, sense it is on my wishlist.  Alternatively, the sale might be more enticing if it was also on GoG's Galaxy.

What corporate company's seem to fail to understand is that all of the old games like Alpha Protocol, Baldur's Gate I, Baldur's Gate II, Claire, Cyberpunk 2077, Detroit: Become Human, Dishonored, Dragon Age: Origins, D. A.: II, D. A.: III, Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, Elder Scrolls Legend Battlespire, Elder Scrolls Adventures Redguard, Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fable I, Fallout I, Fallout II, Fallout III, Fallout IV, Mass Effect I, M. E. II, Outer Worlds, Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Pathfinder: Wrath of the RighteousPillars of Eternity I, P. o. E. II: Deadfire ArchipelagoPlanescape: Torment, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I, S. W.: K. o. t. O. R.: Sith Lords, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Torment: Tides of Numenera, Tyranny, Witcher I, Witcher: II, Witcher III, Witcher: Thronebreaker, et cetera are abundantly & indomitably able to occupy the entertainment hours for any gamer who likes dynamic worlds with player driven stories in their games.  And that list is just the ones found by me, there are many others not listed or simply unknown to me.  If you know of any leave a link in a comment to this humble post of mine.

So every time they release a Mass Effect: Andromeda, Fallout 76, Star Wars: Battlefront II, et cetera more gamers, than do actually buy their games, instead look for older games that are a known quantity.  They satisfy the craving & are blissfully devoid of the modern micro'transactions that are beloved by Bethesda Game Studios & Electronic Arts.

Here is a mind blowing examples of how Google & Youtube's A.I. Bots & moderators are blatantly showing their ignorance & worshiping cable news, by forcing viewers to see a Wikipedia citation on Contrails. for a Chemtrail video.

The Chemtrails & Contrails are absolutely different, & that is abundantly illustrated in this video.
In addition, it is nice that you stopped using Wikipedia as a source. However, how they are treated by academia is true of ALL encyclopedia. Additionally, 'pedias are such a poor source for information that 99% of scholars refuse to use it in a peer reviewed article, or accept it as citation in thesis' written by students.

The most basic problem as understood by most, think do I; Is that true 'science' is done every day; The story of the planet happens every day. Furthermore, 'science' has failed to ever be ruled by 'consensus'.

In reality, the exact opposite is valued by those who investigate science. That is why reporters should require at least three independent sources for any report they wish to publish. Instead of the incestuous Twitter Circle, where they regurgitate articles primarily written by their friends. That is bad pretty much for the same reason incest is bad.

Blizzard will see success when they align the mechanics of both player characters and non-player characters as they do in pencil’n’paper games such as Dungeons & Dragons, think do I. An excellent example is Owlcat’s Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

Kingmaker is wildly popular despite it being a single player game, because all characters experience the same set of rules and physics, think do I.  Every character has primary stats, just as seen in past iterations of World of Warcraft.  Using fire attack against a fire elemental heals them.  Attacking undead with necromancy heals them.  Naturally those two examples also have elemental pillars they are weak against, such as water/ice and holy/fire for those two cases.

In Blizzard’s World of Warcraft, enemies are always cheating against a player.  That is the enemy ignores rules to which a player’s avatar must adhere. The developers probably think they have to in order to compensate for player ingenuity; However, that is wrong, feel do I. Programing an enemy to cheat only frustrates players without them a way to mitigate or deal with said frustration.  That frustration leads to the player finding some other game to spend time with such as Owlcat’s Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous or CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 or their Witcher III.

♥ 1 3 ♥ 0 0 ♥ 0 7 ♥ 0 7 ♥ 0 2 ♥ Sol'Daes ♥ Re: Alien: Covenant

The premise of this movie is flawed beyond it being a sequel of the redonkulous Alien Prometheus. However, it is a fantastic sequel in that it is a near perfect recreation of the prior movie. As in Prometheus, Covenant forces every single character to make stupid contrived decisions only to force the plot along. The Hero’s Journey only allows one such character flaws for each character of a story. Having more than one breaks immersion into the story for the audience. The companies that bankrolled this movie, deserves to loose their money after failing to require a different screen writer and director.

The problem is the idea that Elizabeth Shaw would have ever trusted David just because she was lonely. Sure, she would be, but David’s immitation of ‘acting’ should have failed to work for the simple reality that David himself would have been abundantly enough to keep her mind sane. Even while silent his presence would have kept her grounded to the Prime Material.... so her trusting him? never.

The Engineers would have more than *one* homeworld. Times that by 39, think do I.

The new captain failed the entire colony and this movie by going down to the planet himself. The current Captain always stays on the ship, precisely to avoid the constant changing & challenging of command present in all acts of the story.

2k people for a colony? try 20 times that many. That would have enabled the new captain to send *six* marines with his wife.  Sending _One_ for security is a big fail decision that would have been known to the previous First Officer.

Adventuring through an alien spaceship, especially on a mysteriously deserted planet was another fail.  The existence of the ship itself should have sent everyone packing back to the ship.

The new new new new captain of the Colony ship brings the ship to 40k distance from the surface... even though twice that is necessary for safety, as stated in the movie. Sure ‘Mother’ allowing the breach in protocal is semi ok. Then the colony ship should have crashed because... gravity works.

Then the Captain goes searching for a previous officer he told “stay close”; All by himself... an equally stupid choice.  Every act of the movie is filled with these rudimentary stupid decisions that fail to have anything to do with the plot.  Going off on your own when you know there is mortal danger, is literally them choosing to commit suicide.

Then the last thing the colony ship would have “rescued” anyone on the planet. They should have been left after Tennessee sends a message to Terra. The husband’s wife died in the second act, he should have known this. Why would the crew give a fuck about anyone, other than their spouse? They are supposed to be only selected as members of the future Colony.

Near the end of the movie, there fails to be any way that David would have won the fight after the screen cuts away from them. Walter was stradling an already partially broken David. Then Walter’s fist was already coming down to break the face of David. They showed him grabing a shank, but he failed to have the position to really use it. The only reason a human would have grabbed the shank is to try to cause enough pain to the one on top. ‘Pain’ that would have fell short of coming even close to stopping the inevitability of his skull breaking against the fist from David... an android.

At the end there is the wrongness of Daniels of even coming close to mistaking David for Walter.

  1. A pair of rudimentary caveman scissors would have fell short of being enough to cut David’s hair enough to even come rationally or logically close to Walter’s appearance.
  2. Then there is also the different mannerisms that would have automatically confirmed the reality of David’s presence to Daniels.
